Mongu is the capital of Western Province and a vibrant cultural and administrative hub. It is known for the Kuomboka Ceremony and Barotse Floodplains, and plays a central role in public governance and civil society engagement.

Projects in Mongu
Cashew and Livestock Development Programme
This project supports rural livelihoods through cashew plantations, livestock farming, and meat processing in Senanga and Mongu. It combines agricultural enterprise with community mobilisation, civic training, and support for women and youth in leadership.

This project aims to increase political and civic participation among 4,000 women and youth in Western Province by 2028. It promotes inclusive democracy, transparency, and accountability through community forums, leadership mentorship, voter education, and stakeholder engagement across targeted wards.
